Details: For quick and stable turns on-piste, the 2020 Salomon S/Force 9 skis with bindings should be at the top of your list. With a 17-meter turn radius at the 177 cm length, these things love to carve clean, round arcs from top to bottom. At 80 mm underfoot, they have some amazing torsional stiffness, even though they are pretty forgiving in the tips. This makes for a great blend of power and stability, and you can really bend the ski into the turn and maximize the wood core and metal laminates. With fantastic shape from tip to tail, the Salomon S/Force 9 loves to be on edge, and the finishing kick of the turn is truly something to behold. The flat tail loves to hold on to the turn and release with some serious energy. With a small amount of rocker, these skis are made to blast down the groomers leaving clean arcs in their wake. They're pretty light for how stable they are, and they have an easy-going nature to them that will satisfy a lot of skiers. Mainly meant for on-trail carving, they do have a fun side, too, and this allows them to dance around trees and bust through tight mogul lines due to the high maneuverability factor. Salomon's Edge Amplifier technology puts a ton of pressure on the edge, and makes it easier to roll up on the sidewall and get more leverage in the turn. Making the front of the ski more maneuverable is the Crossover Tip that replaces some metal in the laminate with a more flexible material that is easier to tip up and roll over.
